Describe the Bug
Where the bug appears: Grok Bot
Adding a second Gmail / Google Workspace account on an already-connected Gmail plugin does not persist. We need this so different Grok Bots can use different inboxes (e.g. Ops on admin [at] , other work on brennen [at] ).
Gmail plugin is already installed and working as account=“default” (brennen [at] roof-boyz[dot]com). We tried to add a second Gmail account labeled “admin” for admin [at] roof-boyz[dot]com for the Ops Bot, including authenticating the created admin slot directly (user-Gmail–admin).
What happens: Authorize for the second account → button changes to “Added” → within 1-2 seconds it reverts to “Authorize”. Pairing never completes.
Afterward, connector status is still:
- user-Gmail: connected, account=“default”
- user-Gmail–admin: needsAuth, account=“admin”, 0 tools, detail=“Authentication required”
Also emailed hi [at] cursor[dot]com with the same report on Aug 13, 2026.
Steps to Reproduce
- In Grok Bot, have Gmail already connected as the default account.
- Add a second Gmail account (Settings → Plugins → Gmail → Accounts → Authenticate, or the in-chat connect card) with a new account label such as “admin”.
- Complete Google OAuth as a different Google / Workspace user than the default account.
- Watch the Authorize control: it changes to Added, then within 1-2 seconds snaps back to Authorize.
Expected Behavior
The second Gmail / GWS account stays Added, becomes connected, and a Bot can be pointed at that inbox. Different Bots should be able to hold different Google account authorizations (Gmail + Calendar / Drive / GWS), not only a single shared default.

Version Information
Grok Bot desktop beta, version not available from this session. Operating system: unknown — do not assume.
Additional Information
Use case: several specialist Bots (Ops, Roof, Sales, Marketing, Stat). Shared company inbox/calendar is admin [at] roof-boyz[dot]com; other work is brennen [at] roof-boyz[dot]com. Without multi-account Google auth, we cannot give Ops its own inbox without mixing it into the default Gmail session.
