Hi Im new and the app isnt connecting as well as not finding agent

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor for iOS my apps not connecting to the server, ive done all i can this side but im getting this? also i dont have more credits till thursday.

The preview at link is not responding — restart the dev server so the preview works again.

Browser error to investigate:
URL: http://127.0.0.1:43147/
Local port: 43147
Category: Connection failure
Error: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Details: Error Code: -102
URL: http://127.0.0.1:43147/

Please help me figure out the most likely cause and the fastest next checks.

is this just as i dont have credits left?

The lack of credits might explain why the agent isn’t running, but ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED usually points to the local dev server not running or not being reachable. I’d restart the dev server first, then check whether port 43147 is still listening. If the issue only started after running out of credits, though, that’s a useful clue too.

right well im totally noob where would i find this on my mac app?

Hey, welcome. There are two separate things here, so let’s go in order.

Yes, this is mostly about usage. The ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED text on 127.0.0.1:43147 is a hint that Cursor auto-inserts into the chat when you click Start on the preview card or Ask agent. It means the small web server your agent started is no longer running. That server was running on the agent’s cloud computer, not on your Mac, and it shuts down after the agent finishes or sits idle. So there’s nothing to find or restart locally on your Mac, and nothing is lost. The advice to restart a local dev server and check port 43147 doesn’t apply here because the server isn’t on your machine.

To get the preview working again, the agent needs to run one more turn, which is what the Start button is asking for, and for that you need available usage. You’re on the Free plan, usage resets on Thursday. Until then, the preview will stay offline unless you upgrade earlier.

Now about the agent not showing up. It looks like your phone, or cursor.com in the browser, is logged into a different account than the one you used to create the agent. Please check:

  1. On the Mac app: Cursor → Settings, check the email at the top of the Account section.
  2. In the iOS app: Settings, check the email there. If it’s different, sign out and sign back in with the same email as on your Mac.
  3. Open cursor.com/agents in the browser while signed into the same email. Your agent should show up in the list.

Tell me which email you see on the Mac, or send the agent link from cursor.com/agents, and I’ll take a closer look.

[email protected]. at midnight tonight i’m gonna get pro plus account as well

[email protected] is the browser

Hey, that explains everything. You have two different logins, and the agent lives on one of them.

The agent was created under [email protected], which is the email shown in the Mac app. But in the browser and most likely on your phone, you’re logged in as [email protected]. That account never had any agents, so the list is empty.

What to do:

  1. In the iOS app, open Settings, log out, then log back in as [email protected].
  2. Open cursor.com/agents in your browser with the same email. The agent should show up.

Important note about Pro Plus. When you subscribe tonight, make sure you buy it on [email protected], where the agent is. If you accidentally upgrade [email protected], the agent will still have no usage, and the preview won’t come back.

About the preview itself. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED on 127.0.0.1:43147 isn’t a bug. A small web server was running on the agent’s cloud machine, and it shut down after the run finished. There’s nothing to find or restart locally on your Mac. Once the agent has available usage and runs one step with the Start button, the preview will return.

Once you’re logged into the right account, let me know if everything looks correct.

ok thank you, im building a MOBA Dota 2 style game, this is honestly awesome tool. and is it ok to hit you up if anything else comes up?

Glad we got it sorted out, and good luck with the MOBA. Sounds ambitious.

Sure, message me if anything else comes up. One request: for a new question, please start a separate topic on the forum. It’s easier to find and pick up, and it’ll also help other users with a similar situation.

Quick reminder for tonight: when you upgrade to Pro Plus, make sure you buy it on [email protected], the account where the agent lives. If you upgrade [email protected], the agent still won’t have usage and the preview won’t come back.

Let me know how it goes after you log into the right account.

hey there, i got plus but its still nt working, how will i restart he server
