How can I increase the font size in the chat window?

i’ll just continue being as dumb as an editor application with no font-size adjustment functionality and set it to my desired size in devtools. but thanks for your suggestions.

can only join the crowd - AI panel appearance needs its own settings natively in Cursor. V0.46 has unacceptable small font for history. Do Cursor developers use Cursor at all?

Everyone encounters different problems, and solving them is part of the fun of programming, right?

it really works,thanks

Do any of these workarounds work in Linux? I’ve tried the extension fix but been getting permission errors, I think that’s due to the appImage format not allowing changes.

This APC Extension is not working. I’m using Cursor v0.48.7 on Ubuntu 24.10 via AppImage. Can anyone help us? It’s really annoying to use this tiny font inside the Chat.

Hey, try this:

Thanks for trying to help. I tried the code you suggested, and I got this:

[ERROR] This extension need to modify VSCode’s source code but it runs on read-only filesystem. Maybe you need to choose another way to install VSCode, Error: EROFS: read-only file system, open ‘/tmp/.mount_Cursor6uYfCH/usr/share/cursor/resources/app/out/custom-ui-style.lock.tmp-4120655550a6162b’

I’ll now see if I can handle this error. I’m running it at Ubuntu v24.10. Cursor 0.48.7 AppImage

I found a workaround without installing any extension:

  1. Increase the font size everywhere with ctrl +
  2. Open VS Code Settings and reduce the Text Editor Font Size

Is this a joke… paying for this and to do a simple change like increasing chat font size… I have to go through installing 3rd parties and and inserting custom code???
This should have been the among the very first native settings provided, considering people use these solution to interact through chat agents most of time…
Disappointed :frowning: @cusror

APC extension is garbage.
Doesn’t recognize its own command to startup.
I installed it, I restarted cursort and tried to enable it, but keep running into the same error.
Definitely not the solution to the problem.

Absolutely agree with you there.
This is outrageous :frowning:

Hey, this extension no longer works in the latest versions of Cursor. You can try this one, it performs similar functions:
