In Sep 2025, what is the correct way to increase chat window font size?

Asking Cursor for help on this was worthless, which is not a great look, IMO.

Hunting online gave me hits on this discussion forum, reddit, and StackOverflow, but what I mostly found was stuff from over a year ago with others saying “that doesn’t work anymore - now you have to do this”. I tried installing the Custom UI Style extension and changing the configuration, but with no luck.

As of today, with Cursor version 1.6.27 on VSCode v 1.99.3, what is the correct way to adjust the size of the font in the chat window?

Hey, you can now change the font size in Cursor settings on the Chat tab.

Thanks. That worked.

It’s a huge problem that a Cursor chat itself can’t answer this, and also a big problem that this site’s discussions seem to give search results biased towards outdated posts.
