How do I know I'm using an Azure gpt-4o and not Cursor's one?

Hello!

I setup the credentials to use gpt-4o via our Azure models, but the deployment name is gpt-4o, the same as the Cursor own one.

How do I know which model am I using?

Hi @bakaburg1 ,

Can you see any differentiation between the requests here?

https://www.cursor.com/settings

Also, perhaps share screenshots of your Cursor Settings > Models page.

Redact any private information please.

Hi! yes I see the “custom API key” label.
Also, I noticed that when the Azure API is active, all models apart from gpt-4o stop working. I thought the Azure models would work alongside the Cursor-provided ones, but it overrides all models instead.

Probably it would be useful to have some UI hint about it, such as graying out the other models and writing below the Azure credential section that once active all the other models will stop working.

Why is this marked as a solution?

The feature on the /settings page ( referenced in the screenshot) no longer appears. It’s clear that the Azure API gpt-4o model is not being used
