How do I revert to 500 requests (old pricing)?

Describe the Bug

Everywhere on the forum people say dashboard → settings → advanced.

There’s nothing there apart from “delete account”.

The new pricing is horrible and I want to use cursor the “normal way”.

Steps to Reproduce

cursor.com → dashboard → settings → advanced

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I am trying to figure out the same thing. The lack of transparency is baffling at this point…

Seems like they are changing things daily without notice.

Same!! Where is the option?

I renewed my plan on June 19th, since then you have made a new pricing plan, removed unlimited slow requests, allowed us to opt out of new pricing plan, then removed that feature. And it hasn’t even been a month yet!

For the past 2 weeks I was using usage based pricing for $.08 hard limit for 25 calls per request and now there is no limit.

This product just keeping getting worse, not better.

I want to code, not deal with this drama.

Edit, funny enough I just tried using Claude 4 Opus Max mode, and it’s allowing me to use it for free “included in my Pro plan” but it’s not letting me use Claude 4 thinking. What?! Opus is more expensive but somehow I can use that when I’ve reached my limit on the cheaper models…

When I was aware of this 3 days ago I checked and the option was there on Settings - Advanced, but I opted not to switch to it as I wanted to test how the new thing was working.

Now I checked again out of curiosity and the option is not there anymore, so maybe they removed it?

If that’s the case and they removed an option that 3 days ago was there, well, it says a lot about how things are going right now.

I’ll keep using Cursor as I paid for 1 year but if this doesn’t improve in the next billing cycle during this time I’ll keep looking for similar solutions, is sad to say it but before this I was amaze by Cursor and didn’t though about looking to switch, but with this (not the movement, but the lack of transparency and communication) I’m not a promoter anymore.

These mfs have rate limited me on all models, even free ones.

Looks like the option is still not back. I’d like to at least go back to the service model I paid 1 year for, which was 500 requests/month. We should all still have the option to opt out. Any moderators like to chime in?
