As a Windows user I regularly use Ctrl+Backspace to delete the whole word preceding the current text editor cursor. However, in Cursor Composer, Ctrl+Backspace seems to be mapped to “UTTERLY DESTROY THIS ENTIRE COMPOSER CONVERSATION AND ALL THE WORK YOU DID AND REMOVE IT FROM HISTORY”. I don’t see anything interesting in the keyboard shortcuts file but maybe I missed it. Please help me, I have had to abandon at least three projects due to this and cannot recommend Cursor because of it.

So frustrating that the cursor team keeps adding new keybindings with no notice in the changelogs…
I fixed this by removing all cursor keybindings for “Ctrl + Backspace” in the keyboard shortcut preferences menu.
I’ve just had to do this today. OMG nothing like blowing tokens on changes and approving them only to have them clobbered just because I typo’d “yes keep thsoe changes but”

You can always “Reapply” the changes so you don’t waste tokens to do the same again. But yeah, I’m totally with you.
Don’t forget to add a keyboard shorcut for the deleteWordLeft command.
