every time I try to delete something, it would appear an annoying red block and I have to ctrl + shift + y to actually delete it in my editor, how to disable it?
Hi @Liheng-Yi
It seems like you’re still figuring out Cursor’s functions. When you apply changes to code, it modifies your lines: red highlights show what should be removed, and green shows what will stay. There’s also a small “Accept/Reject” block at the top, letting you apply or reject the changes.
I have the same problem and this is nothing to do with “It seems like you’re still figuring out Cursor’s functions”. Cursor sometimes doesn’t want to let me make changes to the code. If I make a manual change, the AI shouldn’t be trying to get in my way and effectively popping up a box that says, “Are you sure?” It’s one thing to ask the AI to make changes and then be asked to approve/decline each change. But when I’m making manual changes to the code, the “approve/decline” isn’t a valid question from the AI.
