It’s incredible annoying and I haven’t seen a setting to just turn it off. I want to be able to decide when (and whether) a suggested change is applied on my code.
Right now it just goes and makes the change and ask me to accept/reject directly in the file.

I agree. It’s extremely annoying that the default is auto applying changes with no option to disable. I know others may love the auto apply feature. But for people that don’t, this feature gets in the way of development.
@CursorDevs, please give us the ability to toggle auto apply. If it’s already there, it’s buried and we can’t find it.

I have found the toggle in the Cursor settings - there are 2 gear icons at the top right corner and one says open cursor settings and one says Manage click on the open cursor settings gear and then go to the features tab and toggle Auto apply to files outside context in edit mode
