Describe the request

Hi Cursor team,
Currently the only option to configure a Team Plugin Marketplace is using Github or Github enterprise. It would be extreamly helpful to support the Claude plugins standard that also allows connection to an HTTP URL that serves the marketplace.json
This way we can use our internal registries that have governance capabilities instead of relaying on git

This is a great suggestion, and we’ve heard similar feedback from other teams that want to use their own artifact registries rather than relying on Git-based distribution.

We’re tracking this internally. No timeline to share yet, but demand like this thread helps our team prioritize.
