I was working on a project with a non-technical founder and we needed somewhere to plan together. Everything I tried was too much. There were too many settings and fields, and too much to explain before we could even add a card. Even trello has a billion featuers. I wanted something he could open and just use.
So I built Instantboard, almost all of it with Cursor. You click once and you’ve got a board, with no account and no setup. Share the link and the other person is in. Connect your agent to the MCP and it does the work from the board.
A couple of weeks ago my co-founder asked me how our project actually fitted together. I wrote him a long answer covering the admin area, the app, and who uses what. Halfway through I realised everything I was telling him was already on the board, in the cards we’d shipped. So I added a button that reads the cards and writes that overview for you. When the work changes, the overview catches up.
instantboard.app Starting a board is free with no account. Collaborating and the overview are on the paid plans to cover inference.
