Cursor : 0.48.1
OS : Manjaro Linux
Mode: Agent / Auto
Example : Agent might suggest to push code to github which does not work as I can not enter the password for github (and actually, should not) into the the chat field.
I click “Cancel” at the bottom of its message and it continues … “I apologize for the command rejection. Let me …” and moves on doing other stuff it has not been as asked for !
I click “Stop” … and again Agent moves on doing / suggesting other stuff.
If I click “Cancel” or “Stop” I just want Agent to NOT DO ANYTHING , unless I have rephrased my request or wrote how to move on.
I find the Agent starts to ignore global rules. I got mad at it for not following DRY principles, so it suggested I remind it when I ask it to do something. I pointed out that it was already in the global rules!
You can disable Auto run mode in Cursor settings or add the command you dont want it to execute to the deny list. this should stop it from executing automatically.
If it still happens, you may need to share more what settings you have.
I know that it will not work (and I do not want my password in the chat window)
I click [Reject]
Then Ai goes on as described : " Sorry for that you had to rejct, let me do … <random code changes/suggestions which it wants to run> , instead of just stopping.
