Same exact problem here with my 500 requests/month legacy plan. Tool calls are now counting as separate requests, draining my monthly quota in minutes. I’ve escalated to human support, let’s share updates if either of us hears back from the team.

I reached out to Cursor’s human support via email, and their official response confirms that every tool call (such as file reads, searches, or code edits) is counted as a separate request against your monthly limit.
