If Cursor crashes - i tend to end up with 50-100 markdown plans in various states of disrepair

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I often tend to create a plan, build it, and then leave it open in the file-tab system.
if Cursor crashes, while it’s building a plan, and i restart, i often have the file-tab system polluted with 10-20-50-100 markdown plans, which i need to close, manually, one at a time. they often have different amounts of information on them (one might have only the beginnings of the title, another might have a continuation of the title, then more text, more steps).. but some of them are in “oh user edited these, so can’t close without saving or dismissing changes” mode, some can be closed without issues. it’s quite a drag to have to keep doing the removing.

Steps to Reproduce

have a bunch of plans being worked on
get cursor to crash
file tab system is now polluted with half-versions of markdown plans.

Expected Behavior

“only one markdown retained upon restart, not multiple versions with different character content”

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @esaruoho

This should be fixed in v2.3. It’s progressively rolling out to users, but you can also update right away by switching your Cursor Settings > Beta > Update Track to “Early Access”!

Let us know if this resolves the issue!
