Topicstarter checking in.
I haven’t used cursor for a day or so, and today on cmd+I I instantly got “You have used 90% of your included usage. Consider enabling pay-as-you-go or switch to Auto for unlimited requests to avoid interruptions.”
Recent weeks and especially days it was really low quality results, ignoring the rules, and I was trying to figure out how the context is optimised etc. It required many requests like “fix this in your changes”, “think harder”, repeating the specific rule that I needed it to absolutely stick to etc - I considered it to be the “price” of a cheap subscription, and since that limit of 500 requests was gone I was kind of ok with the fact that I needed to interact a lot with the agent in order to get to somewhat satisfactory result.
Now it doesn’t make any sense for me whatsoever. No stable context / quality, no transparency, and some unpredictable limit on top.
So I’ll be testing gemini cli and claude code starting tomorrow and if it works out fine I’m probably cancelling cursor ;(
