Indent bug when going back onagent chat message

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When I go back on a message in my Agent chat, even if there were no changes made for the specific chat message, there’s often a change in indentation on my code (that was never prompted or changed before), resulting in errors (the indentation after going back on a message often doesn’t make sense).

@yumaheymans and thank you for the detailed bug report.

We have released Cursor 2.0 yesterday with many improvements. Could you please update and let me know if the issue persists?

This still happens, and I’m on the newest version now, as of today, October 30. It happens particularly when an agent or a conversation/chat gets very long. When the conversation is very long, then those indentation issues appear when going back to a chat; For example, resubmitting a chat message to the last (ONGOING! / processing) chat that gave a previous response, and in that case there doesn’t even have to be any code changes in that response of that particular chat request; even if there are no changes made, often when I go back to that chat and re-submit that latest ongoing chat, the indentation issues appear.

request id of chat where it happened for example:

and another one, same conversation different chat message:
