Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
The integrated Browser tab’s DevTools are completely non-functional. Elements, Console, and Network tabs are all empty. Inspect element / element picker does not work.
This happens on both my local Angular app (http://localhost:4201/) and a minimal test page, so it is not app-specific.
External Chrome on the same URLs works correctly (DevTools show DOM, console logs, and network requests).
This worked last week and appears to be a regression.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Cursor
- Open the integrated Browser tab (keep it docked in the main window — do not detach)
- Navigate to:
data:text/html,<h1>test</h1><script>console.log('hello')</script> - Open DevTools (Inspect / Show Console)
- Check Elements, Console, and Network tabs
Also reproducible on http://localhost:4201/ (Angular dev server).
Expected Behavior
- Elements: shows
<h1>test</h1>and script tag - Console: shows
hello - Network: shows at least the document request
- Element picker highlights elements on hover
Actual Behavior
All DevTools panels are empty. Inspect element does not select/highlight anything.

Additional Information
Workarounds Tried
- Closed all Browser tabs, fully quit Cursor (
Cmd+Q), reopened - Toggled Settings → Tools & MCP → Browser Automation off/on, then restarted
- Kept browser tab docked (not moved to separate window)
- External Chrome works on the same pages
Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
