Hey, this is a known server-side issue with the blob state. A specific conversation can end up in a bad state, and every retry hits the same error.

Workaround: start a new chat. The error won’t reproduce in a new conversation. Unfortunately, the old thread can’t be recovered.

I can’t share an ETA for a fix yet. If you see the error in a new chat too, let me know.

Hey @Jia_Fu, following up on your report. We fixed the issue on our side that was causing the chat to get stuck and loop the “Blob not found” error, so it shouldn’t happen again in that form.

A couple of notes:

  • Unfortunately, we can’t restore that old affected chat.
  • If chat data ever goes missing again, you’ll now get a clear message suggesting you start a new chat instead of seeing an endless error.
  • Please update to the latest Cursor version. You’re currently on a pretty old build 3.2.16, and the current stable is 3.15.6.

If you hit this again after updating, reply here and we’ll take another look.
