Am I the only one having cursor/ssh issues? Or have all ssh users switched over to windsurf?
Yes, I couldn’t type anything into the terminal of the workstation that I ssh into. The terminal or the entire cursor AI application freezes/crashes as soon as I open the cursor AI on the remote workstation via ssh. Now, I couldn’t do my work at all. The problem started around 14 hours ago for me.
I tried to switch the HTTP protocol and restart my workstation, etc. None of these helps.
If I use VScode to ssh into the workstation, there’s no problem.
When using Cursor 0.50 with Remote-SSH, the file tree and terminal freeze, and the Cursor app cannot be closed normally.
After downgrading to Cursor 0.49, everything works correctly.
Basically every cursor update breaks ssh config for me. I have a home setup where I run cursor on a macbook and ssh to a ubuntu 24.04 PC. Every time after an update, I got permission denied error in ssh log-in, which does not happen at all if I try from terminal or any other IDE.
