Is it possible to downgrade / install an old version?

It seems like there have been a ton of new changes and unfortunately it’s dramatically slowed down my workflow.

Like chat isn’t suggesting code anymore, isn’t searching the codebase, and I end up just going to ChatGPT.com

Is there some way to get back to the old version of Curser before all these changes?

It feels like it got nerfed or something. Like I’m sure there’s a lot of good stuff that the long run will work out and I probably won’t need to downgrade for super long.

But like if I just want to get stuff done in the short term / not be a guinea pig is there some way to go back?

Hey, which version of Cursor are you using?

Uninstall and then check your downloads folder and reinstall from the old version you downloaded.

0.46.2 I believe

Idk what happened but chat works very differently now (and won’t auto suggest stuff, or won’t set the filenames) and the agent stuff has never been good enough for our legacy codebases
