Is it still possible to switch to the old 500 monthly requests model?

I’m looking to switch back to the legacy pricing model with 500 monthly requests. The new pricing model where auto is your only sustainable option, I’d prefer to return to the previous structure.
I recall that until recently, there was an option in the advanced settings section to remain on the legacy pricing model, but I can no longer find this option.
Questions:

  • Is the option to switch back to the legacy model with 500 requests a month still available, or has it been removed altogether?
  • Is there any official confirmation regarding the current new model being the only option available to users?
  • If it is still possible, how can I change it in settings or through any other methods that will help me switch back to the old model?

Would appreciate any insights or experiences from the community on this topic.

Cursor - The AI Code Editor, Settings, expand “Advanced Account Settings”. I opted out of the new model a few weeks ago, and I have a button under these settings to opt into new model. Not sure if opt out option is still there.

Didn’t have that option on my end

The option has been removed if you didn’t opt out. We have been unable to opt out for a few days now…

There is no point in going back to 500 requests if there is no slow mode, as we would always have to pay for usage based on

I was able to opt out 2 days ago (Europe timezone).

Option seems to be gone for most people.

There was slow mode still on the 500 requests and you get 2x the requests on average.
First they told us it was a bug that it was removed, then they told us it was on purpose.

Looking to opt out too, haven’t been told this option even exists. How do we do it? I don’t have this option in my advanced settings. I paid an annual subscription under the previous pricing. That’s the contract I signed up for. Not interested in this new pricing model that basically is non-useable. Slow requests have been perfectly fine to me.

Requesting someone from cursor to let us people - that signed up long-term - know how to opt-out.

if it’s anythign to do with money the only response you are going to get is gaslighting. you might as well just use Claude code and use cursor when only absolutely necessary. I greatly prefer cursor but it is cost prohibitive. the new pricing was awesome compared to old and now I feel like I got bait and switched with new version of new.

Email [email protected] and you can request to opt out if you were on the previous 500 request system. It took a few days to get a response but they did revert me back when I asked.
