I requested a report summarizing the work of the current session so I could work on a new session, but 4 requests were used.
It seemed like only 1 request was used until yesterday.
Was it something changed?
(using Codex 5.3 model with Agent mode)
Yes,same here.It looks like Cursor has secretly changed its billing rules?
Hi @here In Agent mode, a single task can use more than one premium request. When the agent works through a task, it may go through several steps internally. For example, it might gather context from your project, plan the summary, and then write it. Each of those steps can count toward your usage, so a request like “summarize this session” may show up as more than one premium request even though you only sent one message.
There has not been a recent change to how requests are counted for Codex 5.3 in Agent mode. The number of requests a task uses can vary from session to session depending on how much context the agent needs to gather and how many steps it takes to complete the work. A shorter or simpler session might only need one step, while a longer or more complex one could take several.
Due to your team’s privacy mode setting, I’m not able to see the exact details of your specific requests on our end. If you would like to check the breakdown yourself, you can view your usage on the usage page in your account settings: https://cursor.com/dashboard/usage
Thank you for your detailed response. When I checked my current usage via CSV, the requests were only 1 or 2, but the usage appears to be excessively high in comparison. Even though it has only been 1 or 2 days since the initialization, the actual usage is several times higher than what is shown in the CSV, and I still do not understand what the problem is.
Check my snapshot and csv file, please tell me what’s going on.
