me too

I am not even able to get to the dashboard through browser or command line, is firewall of something blocking ?

curl -vv https://cursor.com/dashboard

* Host cursor.com:443 was resolved.

* IPv6: (none)

* IPv4: 76.76.21.21

* Trying 76.76.21.21:443…

* connect to 76.76.21.21 port 443 from 192.168.0.100 port 49878 failed: Operation timed out

* Failed to connect to cursor.com port 443 after 75041 ms: Couldn’t connect to server

* Closing connection

curl: (28) Failed to connect to cursor.com port 443 after 75041 ms: Couldn’t connect to server

Hi @Rama_Nathan Thank you for the forum post! and the curl output helps to confirm what’s going on.

your machine can’t open a connection to cursor.com on port 443 (the timeout from 192.168.0.100). That same connectivity failure shows up in the app as Internal Error / Network disconnected while the agent sits on “Planning next moves”. In that situation, the request never reaches our servers, so this is on the path between your network and Cursor, not an account or model issue.

A few things to try:

  1. Switch networks briefly (a phone hotspot is a good test). If Cursor works there, something on your current network is blocking it.
  2. Check for a VPN, firewall, antivirus, or router filter that may be blocking outbound HTTPS, especially anything changed around when this started.
  3. If you’re on a network with an allowlist, Cursor needs outbound access to its domains. Details here: Network, proxy, and remote connections | Cursor Docs and Network Configuration | Cursor Docs
  4. In Cursor: Settings → Network → Run Diagnostics. Also try HTTP Compatibility Mode → HTTP/1.1, then fully quit and reopen Cursor.
  5. Update to the latest Cursor version if you aren’t already on it.

Once HTTPS to cursor.com works again from that machine, agent chat should come back. If a hotspot test works but your usual network still fails, that points to a local firewall or ISP path filter — worth checking with whoever manages that network. If you’re still stuck after those steps, reply with the Network Diagnostics result and what the hotspot test showed and we can analyze this further.

Hi @pj-workspace ! It’s normal to see planning next moves for a couple of seconds, if you see it for minutes at a time then it is a problem. Can you confirm which it is for you? If it’s minutes at a time, I can help you walk thru some troubleshooting steps.

it’s my network settings, at my home I used DHCP with Manual address 192.168.0.100 to connect my home wifi , I now connected to another wifi network since i was travelling , except cursor.com everything worked which was weird inclusing forum.cursor.com which is how I was able to post, then I switched to hotspot with the same settings, nothing worked, now I switched to DHCP without manual address, everything works including cursor.com on both wifi and mobile hotspot. if i use DHCP with manuall address again cursor.com doesn’t work other website works, probably woth checking ?
