Kernel Selection doesn't work

please resolve this asap, frustrating

Same problem, please fix

And the ■■■■■■’ agent ended up deleting :\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\Cursor\User\globalStorage\ while trying to clear the Jupyter cache, and it screwed up all my chats… Obviously, it wiped all the projects cache, all projects chats included, except the one actually needed, because that was the one it was using itself… And it was my first day using Jupyter, so i thought i was who screwed up things and lost all ■■■■■■■ day. Bravo Cursor.

Oh thank god I am apparently not the only one. After two hours of installing und uninstalling and hacking with the environments I just tried vscode and voila, works perfectly fine, this is a cursor issue and it keeps me from using it. Unfortunately.

Anyone know if there is active development going on for this bug fix?

Same problem :((, Yesterday was working fine but not today

i depend on jupyter. This has been devastating

Please fix this, I have the same error.
Smooth interaction with Jupyter is essential for me.

Also, I suggest adding a roll-back button in the settings as this update breaking Jupyter is not the first time something like this happened and rolling back manually is cumbersome. The update also seems to have cleared my chat history, very unfortunate.

same here - pls fix or as @KlimtEastwood said offer a rollback button…

This worked for me! Still hoping the cursor team fixes this bug soon.

Any updates?

I subscribing Pro and struggled with it about 2 days. Also, I use cursor only for jupyter. Please fix it asap or make a partial refund

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

After updating to 2.0, cursor IDE can no longer select kernel on .ipynb
Tried reinstalling python and changing to conda environment or venv, no response after clicking an environment on the IDE.

Steps to Reproduce

on any .ipynb file, click ‘Select Kernel’ button on the top-right corner,
It shows (1) Python environments (2) Existing Jupyter Server → Click (1)
there is a list of available python versions or conda whichever u click, it used to start running codes after a short~medium time of loading. Now it loads nothing no response like it’s dead.

And just another comment, it becomes harder and harder to use the IDE after each update. I basically stopped using cursor tab because it helps with nothing only removes my codes and does nothing or put a random repeated docstring element extracted from my file.

I might ask for a refund

This works for me too now… gosh..

Were you able to get this working within virtual env?

Faced the same issue with ipynb.
Downgrading to version 2.0.43 works for me.
Download the distribution from here: https://cursor.uuid.site/

Yes, just start the jupyter server from the virtual env.

2.0.64 update came today in the morning, jupyter is still broken, workaround does not work with conda environments. The local jupyter server does not see conda environments, so i can only go back version 2.0.34 to be able to work.
