Iāve been using it in Cursor via OpenRouter - it works great but is sooo slow compared to Opus. Opus runs about 50tpk whereas Kimi 2.6 though SiliconFlow runs at ~19tps.
i bet they are waiting for a new version. But deepseek v4 pro or/and flash would be nice to see too.

I just switched from windsurf to cursor. Kimi K2.6 was available in windsurf and it was free. It suited my needs very well, especially when I compare it to K2.5. I hope to see it in cursor soon.
gpt 5.5 and opus 4.7 are token burners. spent $480 in opus tokens last month. K2.6 please
Yea itād be nice to have more choices like Deepseek V4 ProMax, GLM 5.1, etc.
Opus 4.7 is outstanding, just expensive. I use Sonnet 4.6 a lot because of the cost of Opus, and sonnet makes up 1/2 of my $1K/mo bill now. Intermixed are Gemini 3.1 Pro, GPT 5.5, Codex 5.3, Composer, and Auto modes. Stopped using Kimi 2.5 as it produced the worst bugs. Iām getting recommendations on model choice for Cursor from my personal ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude accounts.
When, guys? When? Add please also other great models like Deepseek V4.
Otherwise itās not much feasable stay on Cursor, since much better features (like skills plugins, design) in Claude.
The strongest advantage you have is multiple models on board.
