Kimi K2 in Cursor

The model is a a beast, and so cheap we need that in cursor, will help get a lot done with the pro pricing plan.
Input : 60 cents cache miss, 15 cents cache hit per million

+1 on this, some open source models have really pushed the envelope, the team should be weaning themselves off anthropic gradually and look into working closer with open source models.

Absolutely, that’s exactly what I came here to ask for.

Isn’t there a way to set up it manually ?

They won’t add the requested model — and if they do, they’ll limit its context or make it premium and not worth it.
That’s the company’s policy: maximum profit.
They’ve never done anything out of goodwill — not even once.

I think you’re wrong. And if you’re not I’ll just switch to an IDE that does support it. It rivals Grok-4 in many ways but at an actual fraction of the cost. It’s crazy good value and since competition to Cursor already exists I’d be extremely surprised if they didn’t try to implement it.

Best part’s we’re probably getting it for free once Chutes hosts it. this’ll be epic.

Hello, could you help me vote for this function below? I know it’s not the ideal place, but it’s just to have greater visibility.

I really liked Kimi’s k2 model, so I want to use this model in the cursor, but this model doesn’t have cursor support. Can you add Kimi’s k2 model to the cursor?

Please add Kimi K2 as a non premium model, I am so dissapointed with the latest pricing policy changes and so many other people are thinking of leaving Cursor as you’ve just pulled the rug under them, without Sonnet 4 coding is almost useless :frowning: I think intergating Kimi could be something that could save you from rage quiting.
