I think you’re wrong. And if you’re not I’ll just switch to an IDE that does support it. It rivals Grok-4 in many ways but at an actual fraction of the cost. It’s crazy good value and since competition to Cursor already exists I’d be extremely surprised if they didn’t try to implement it.

Tutorial for using Kimi-K2 in Cursor with Openrouter:

Disclaimer: agent mode does not work as usual, as it is not a native Cursor integration.

1. Create an account at https://openrouter.ai/

2. Add credits: https://openrouter.ai/settings/credits

3. Create an API KEY: https://openrouter.ai/settings/keys

4. In Cursor, go to settings > Models, then replace the URL with https://openrouter.ai/api/v1 and paste your API KEY:

Please add Kimi K2 as a non premium model, I am so dissapointed with the latest pricing policy changes and so many other people are thinking of leaving Cursor as you’ve just pulled the rug under them, without Sonnet 4 coding is almost useless I think intergating Kimi could be something that could save you from rage quiting.
