There is something very wrong with the latest Cursor update that came in the past couple of days. I feel like the AI no longer understands what I’m telling it or comprehends the code, even though I’m starting a new chat and giving it the exact file with specific instructions. Instead of following directions, it’s providing answers that are completely different from what was requested. This wasn’t happening before the update. After updating, I feel like I’m dealing with a much less capable AI.

I am giving it the exact file and the precise instructions, yet it goes ahead and does something stupid or works on a different file. something is 100% wrong it is just not like before
Hey, can you show an example of where this is happening? There is usually a good reason for when the LLM isn’t following instructions, especially on simple requests like it sounds like you are trying to make!
I am in composer, trying to make a simple change, the funny thing, I was going very good, the cursor used to be very accurate, I updated it now it feels like i am dealing with another software. it literally drives me crazy. on top of this, it is notorious to remove the code or rewrite the code that has nothing to do with what I have asked. there are times when it has removed 500+ lines of code just for a simple task I asked.
I am getting super frustrated with this
