Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Hi, I’ve decided to create a post, perhaps some of those things can be addressed by the support team.

Couple of issues after the last patch or two:

  1. Commit button ignores git hooks - it straight up commits without pre-commit scripts.
  2. When opening a new agent view in sidebar it automatically chooses Cursor Grok 4.6, even though I’ve been using Auto mode for past few months.
  3. Something has changed with the agents you use → they touch files that they are not supposed to or straight up ignore some rules. Generally speaking, they become a burden instead of being an improvement to my coding workflow, which is quite the opposite why I have started using Cursor in the 1st place.
  4. Cursor did auto fetch from time to time → this is not happening sometimes, i have to manually git fetch from time to time.

General issues i have experienced during past 3 months:

  1. Commit message generation button ignores your .cursor/rules.
  2. Git related stuff is not active until i press ‘Source control’ button in my sidebar.
  3. Launch time of Cursor is extremely slow compared to VsCode

Does this stop you from using Cursor?

  • Yes - Cursor is unusable
  • Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor
