Let me choose which tools are provided to the model

Gemini 2.5 Pro will often try to run a raw grep command instead of using the inbuilt read file tool.

I will never run a command provided by the model, and I don’t want to give it the option, since it picks the wrong tool so often.

I’d like the ability to choose which tools are provided to the model, and for the system prompt to reflect that.

Hi @Michael_Orenstein you can do this already now:

• Settings
• Chat
• Custom Modes (enable)

Then in Chat > Agent you can Add custom mode and remove features you do not want it to use. Like terminal.
