Let’s give the team the benefit of the doubt

To the Cursor Community,

I believe we’ve said enough about Cursor not being a nonprofit. At the end of the day, they also have to cover costs like model access fees. While many of us wish revolutionary technologies like LLMs were more accessible or even free, the reality is they’re developed and managed by profit-driven companies. Let’s give the Cursor team some benefit of the doubt and hope for more transparent and proactive communication going forward.

To the Cursor Team,

You’ve lost the trust of many users over the past few days. Rolling out a significant change in pricing without clear communication and planning has real consequences. Many people have invested their hard-earned money, and not all come from the same socio-economic background. A small in-app notice or disclaimer about upcoming changes would go a long way toward maintaining trust.

Thank you for your efforts—I hope you can rebuild confidence in the coming weeks.

Why? they literally haven’t improved anything, they just issued an apology while the prices remain exactly the same, they keep removing value from cursor instead of improving it. This is a great lesson in how to destroy your own company.
