Let us disable composer-2-fast, it's 3x the price and forced on subagents

Please let us disable is 3x the price of composer, and subagents seem to use it exclusively for effectively no benefit.

I don’t want to use the fast version. I have no interest in it. It’s 2x the price of GPT-5.4-mini

It’s such a chore to use cursor now because I have to babysit every single sub-agent, as I can no longer trust it to not annihilate API credits.

This is already partially controllable in settings. (Explore subagent can be selected.)

It can be permanently be disabled from here so that the subagents never use the composer 2 fast model. Settings>Agents>Explore subagent model

Thanks all, I’ve changed that setting. Will see if that resolves.

I am not sure to post here, but let me report an unexpected behavior of Cursor IDE. Even if I disable the fast mode of Composer 2.5, Cursor IDE automatically and unconsciously enable the fast mode and set Composer 2.5 fast even if I select the auto model. That make us unconsciously spend model budget.

How about clearly distinguish models of Composer 2.5 and Composer 2.5 fast? I assume we can clearly disable Composer 2.5 fast.
