Linear Messaging in Automations

Feature request for product/service

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Linear,…)

Describe the request

When we create an automation on cursor, we can give it the tooling to send a message in slack via our cursor app. This shows up as a cursor message rather than a specific user. However, automations has nothing like this built for messaging in Linear. In the case that I want an automation to send a summary to the linear ticket, it uses my account (the person who made the automation) instead of the cursor identity.

Hi @Omansh_Bainsla Thank you for the forum post! The Slack action posts as the Cursor app, but there isn’t a built-in “post to Linear” action yet, so automation comments show up under the connected account (usually whoever created the automation) instead of a Cursor identity. We’re actively looking at making automation identity more consistent across integrations, and I’ve captured your report with that work.

I’ll keep you updated with any relevant info here!
