I have found that my appraoch to guiding Agent Mode is improving all the time and than small steps with frequent commits is the most productive.
The context window is a frequent issue, even when trying to keep to small changes, it frequently displays “Start a new chat for better results.” I’m using claude-3.7-sonnet-thinking mainly.
The one thing thats driving me crazy is that the iterative linter goes around and around in circles trying to fix trailing spaces and newlines. The attempt cycles exacerbate the context window issues and combined issues really slow me down.
Has anyone worked around this? They are easy to fix manually but that interupts the agents flow. I’d be happy for it to prompt me to fix these simple lining issues rather than consuming the context window.
