I cannot state this emphatically enough, but docs driven llm pairing with a long context chat is the premier AI IDE experience right now.
I reliably get the highest quality synthetic code gen and strategic conversational chat from this engagement style. I will pay large subscription fees to keep access to this feature without hesitation.
Removal of LCC makes Cursor.sh functionally impotent for my platform engineering team use at NASA.
Call it premature, but I built an entire workflow for my PE/DevOps team and encouraged adoption of a newer more advanced software dev like tech stack based on the concept of cursor + long context chat + docs based prompting = suddenly previously impossible skills development and modernization that was economically out of reach became very attainable.
I’m still using v042.5 heavily but I sincerely need maintainer roadmap feedback. Are we loosing this feature permanently?
Whether using chat or agent composer interface the shorter context windows cannot keep up and makes the AI experience impractical as I spend more time fighting shortsighted llm decisions vs actually pushing my codebase forward.
