I’ve been researching different resource planning software and enterprise resource planning software lately and realized how tough it is to find something that actually fits every team’s workflow. Some tools call themselves the best enterprise resource planning software, but once you dig in, they either miss solid work calendars or lack deeper Gantt chart project management features.
I’m especially curious about manufacturing resource planning software and how teams are handling dependencies, scheduling, and forecasting. Also, is anyone here using cloud based enterprise resource planning software? I’d love to know if the flexibility really outweighs the control you get with on-prem enterprise resource planning ERP software.
So what are you all using right now for planning and scheduling?
Do you prefer simple resource planning software setups or full enterprise resource planning software platforms that handle everything in one place?
