just chat stopped working and started giving errors. I restarted cursor but didn’t work. It only worked when I started a new chat. see the video.

Immediate workaround: start a new chat - that should let you continue. You mentioned this helps, so please keep using that for now.

Important: avoid reopening the failed chat. Some users have seen code rollbacks when returning to errored conversations. Please use version control (git) to protect your work.

To help us investigate your case, please share:

• Are you using any MCP servers? (Cursor Settings > Features > MCP) - try with servers disabled
• Does the error occur consistently after a certain number of chat turns?
• Do you have a .cursorignore file in your workspace?
