Hey, thanks for the feature request. The request is clear, and it’s not a one-off. There are similar threads for Neovim Cursor plugin for Neovim? and JetBrains Please consider a JetBrains plugin with lots of activity, so this is on our radar.
But to be honest, right now we’re not actively working on moving Tab into an editor-agnostic service via the SDK. The Cursor SDK currently only covers agent features, and Tab is tightly tied to the VS Code extension host. Making it a separate API would be a major architectural change, not an incremental feature. There’s no ETA for this.
Please keep the thread going. Votes and comments here help with prioritization. If anything changes around the SDK or external Tab integrations, I’ll come back and post an update.
