MCP Server in Windows works but only if If the shell is open

Hello,

I run my MCP Server like this in the Settings

node C:\Users\pat\Desktop\scripts\Python\hmb_tool\mcp-server-sqlite-npx\dist\index.js C:\Users\pat\Desktop\scripts\Python\hmb_tool\src\database.db

After adding the Server, my Windows shell opens and Cursor is open to use the MCP-Server. But if I close the shell, Cursor isn’t able to reastablish the server. Is this how it should work? I don’t like to refresh the server each time I want to query MCP Tools.

No, it shouldn’t work this way.
It seems they’re aware of it.

Other clients open each process headless with no annoying windows to get in the way.

same for me, i do not understand what i need to do to keep em running, runs fine from run dialog etc.

is there a fix for this ? i hate it already.
