Messages always queueing now

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Messages are queueing up until the agent is completely done, even in “Send after current message” mode.

Steps to Reproduce

Kick off a long running agent, send it more messages, watch them stack up and not get sent at the next opportune time.

Expected Behavior

Before the next file edit, or sub agent kick off, or web search, it should send the message in the queue.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. We’ve had regressions in this area (message queue) before, so it’s possible something broke again in the latest EA build.

A couple things that’ll help us debug:

  • Can you grab the Request ID from the session where this happened? (Chat context menu in the top right > Copy Request ID)

Let me know how it goes.

For you sir!

(happens 100% of the time)

Try toggling the setting from “Send after current message” to “send immediate” and then back to “Send after current message”
