need urgent help for custom model,
why MiniMax-M2.1 fail?

Hey, thanks for the report. MiniMax-M2.1 is not officially supported in Cursor. Cursor only supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock.
Although MiniMax provides integration instructions, that doesn’t mean full support. Custom models from unofficial providers often break after updates, as we’ve seen in similar reports on the forum after Cursor 2.2.
When you add a MiniMax API key, it can break Cursor’s built-in models too, because the BYOK configuration conflicts with the internal model routing.
Recommendation: use one of the officially supported providers above or try OpenRouter. If you want to use MiniMax, wait for official support from the Cursor team.
