Hi Cursor team,
I’d like to request the ability to move existing Agents/chats between Workspaces in the Agents sidebar.
Current behavior
Chats are permanently tied to the workspace where they were created (e.g. prod.web). I can create another workspace (e.g. Hosting) for hosting/mail topics, but I cannot move older chats into that folder. Drag-and-drop and a “Move to workspace” action are not available.
Why it matters
One project folder often accumulates unrelated threads (app code vs hosting/DNS/mail). Creating a new workspace only helps for new conversations — history stays stuck under the old project, so the sidebar stays cluttered.
Suggested solution
- Right-click chat → Move to workspace… (pick existing or create new)
- Optional: drag-and-drop a chat onto another Workspace folder
- Keep full history and context after the move
Nice to have
User-created organizational folders not tied to a disk path (tags/folders for sorting only), in addition to workspace-based grouping.
