At first, I wasn’t a big fan of the Agent Window. But the more I use it, the more I actually like it.
I’m a Windows 11 user, and so far the only option I’ve seen is to open the IDE version of your software multiple times. I’d really like to have that same capability for the Agent, so I can open it in multiple windows.
The reason is that I have two monitors: one is over 40 inches, so very large, and the other is 27 inches. I’d like to make use of that space by having multiple Agent windows, allowing me to work on several projects at the same time and keep an eye on their progress.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. Glad you’re enjoying the Agents Window.
Right now, the Agents Window works as a single window. If you try to open a second one, it just switches focus to the one that’s already open, so there isn’t a true one Agents Window per monitor setup yet.
What you can do for a dual-monitor setup today:
Multiple projects in one Agents Window. It’s built for parallel work. Add projects via File > Open Folder, switch between them in the sidebar, and run agents in parallel. For the split-screen setup you mentioned, use the side-by-side split panes inside the same window.
A classic IDE window on the second monitor. Multi-window IDE on Windows works like before via File > New Window, and from Glass you can run File > Open IDE Ctrl+Shift+N to pop a separate IDE window onto the other screen.
Your request for multiple full Agents Windows is valid, but it’s not supported yet and there’s no timeline. I’d suggest upvoting and sharing your use case in these existing threads so it gets more visibility:
