Navigate arrow block code

These two left-right “Navigate” arrows keep blocking code.
I am not sure how they appeared. I tried pressing them, it opens another file. I saved and closed that file, restarted cursor, but they still persist, which makes the editor useless at this point

Please advise how to rid of them
