Everytime I start a new agent, it has to “get familiar” with my codebase. I then ask it to do or fix something and it tries, but I have to show it where it failed and then it goes “aha, I see where I went wrong…” and then it re-reads the codebase and fixes the issue. Sometimes it’s like 5 attempts. Am I doing something wrong here? Starting fresh constantly is very annoying.
Are you indexing your codebase? Open Cursor Settings > Indexing & Docs and enable Index New Folders.
