Hi everyone, my name is Fiona and I’m the new Campus Community Lead here at Cursor! This academic year, I’m excited to share that Cursor is doubling down our investment in students. If you are a student, faculty member, professor or researcher building with Cursor - we want to support you.
Cursor was founded by students with a dream of reimagining the way software gets built. We want to support the same ingenuity, ambition, and curiosity that got Cursor to where it is today by investing back into the next generation of developers.
Campus Community Launches
-
Cursor is opening our office doors in San Francisco and New York to the academic community. From hosting academic conferences to office tours, we’re committed to going beyond providing credits to support innovation on campus. For event inquiries, fill out this request form.
-
We will be welcoming 40 new ambassadors into our Campus Leads program this fall. Your dream to obtain Cursor swag and credits just got more real. We will be flying our first cohort of ambassadors to San Francisco for a launch event! This program is invite-only to start. If you’d like to be considered, complete the interest form here.
-
Cursor is partnering with Major League Hacking (MLH) to provide educational workshops, credits, and swag to the next generation of developers both on-campus and online. MLH is the world’s largest developer community that hosts hackathons and competitions for students to successfully launch their careers in technology. Sign up for our campus newsletter for early access to opportunities through our MLH partnership.

We know innovation on campus doesn’t stop with undergrad students. Master’s students, PhD candidates, academic researchers, and educators can fill out this form to request credits to support their work.
As part of this initiative, we are discontinuing new user sign ups for our legacy student discount offering. The program had become a target for fraud and prevented Cursor from meeting the real needs of students globally. If you’ve already redeemed your student discount, you’ll be grandfathered in at your current rate until your plan expires. Students will still have access to discounts and credits through on-campus and online events this fall.
I look forward to having the opportunity to support our incredible academic community. Sign up for our campus newsletter to get early access to upcoming events, exclusive discounts, and beginner guides.
