Describe the Bug

When I’m ssh’d into a remote machine and try to drag/drop files from the explorer into composer, it doesn’t work. I have to add them using the + button. Not a huge issue, but it would be nice if it worked just as if I was working locally.

Steps to Reproduce

SSH into remote machine
Drag file from explorer to composer and see it doesnt work

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Thanks for reporting this! Hypothetically, I don’t see a reason why this shouldn’t work, even over SSH, so I’ve reported this to our team internally who will look into this over the next few days!

I thought I was the only one like this. It is normal under windows, but in wsl2 environment or ssh remote environment, composer and chat cannot drag files into the dialog box to add context.

In addition, there is contextual comparison in the generated files, which cannot show how many differences there are, and the upper and lower differences cannot be selected.

We have a new version coming out soon which may increase the stability of Cursor, and add in some features like this. If you can wait for that to roll out, and test if these issues are resolved, that would be great!

Sounds good, please let us know when it is released so we can test and get back to you.
