Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. I can see the screenshot with the Models panel. This isn’t a bug. On the Free plan, the model picker is limited by design, so only Composer 2.5 Fast is available. Auto and the other models are included in Pro and Pro+. You previously had an older version where the list wasn’t limited, so after the update it looks like the models “disappeared”.

The thread you linked, No models available at all, was a different temporary service-side issue. It was fixed a while ago and doesn’t apply to your case.

The web dashboard shows models differently, with a list and an upgrade CTA, so it looks “normal” there. That’s expected.

One quick check. In the IDE model picker, do you see and can you select Composer 2.5 Fast? If it’s not there at all and the field is empty, try signing out and back in via Cursor Settings, then restart Cursor, and let me know if the model shows up.

Thanks. Why doesn’t the “Add a custom model” button work?
I click the button, enter the name, click “Add,” and nothing happens.

Yes, the Add button not working isn’t a bug. Adding custom models and bringing your own API key BYOK is only available on Pro and above. On the Free plan, this feature is disabled, so the row just disappears and the model doesn’t get saved.

On Free, you only get Composer 2.5 Fast, like I mentioned above. If you need custom models or your own API key, you’ll need Pro.
