i found there is no thinking output for deepseek-r1 and is there anything wrong?

It might be that it’s not “thinking” when you ask it a simple question like “What’s your name?” Try asking it a complex question something that would actually require reasoning…

Now that it’s thinking, I don’t think it’s the cause of the simple question? Maybe it’s the network? I’m no longer in the same network as before.

I change the proxy and it now works! so i didn’t know the reason.

I tried changing the proxy, but it didn’t work. Even creating a new account with a different device didn’t enable the thinking function. Are you using a VPN, or did you switch to a different network environment? Have you encountered this issue again afterward?

Additionally, I noticed that while it can’t think in a new chat, it can think when I continue a previous chat. However, after a few more interactions, it reverts back to being unable to think.

I got the similar issues, all the model feels like being downgraded

I realize that they really downgrade to 4o-mini without any notification, like the power outage it has a small notice, but this one NO. Hey Cursor, are you scamming?

If you are using the trial version, they give you ChatGPT 3.5, but everything seems to work fine in the pro version. In fact, they have even tried to make it do with a prompt in the trial version.
