Now we have much stricter usage limits

As I understand, after the recent Cursor update we now have much stricter usage limits.

What I mean: before, with Pro+ ($60), I could use different models (not including Auto) up to $125, and Auto up to $100. Now I’m seeing only a $70 limit for the same period (Feb 17 – Mar 17) — that’s basically 1.7x less than before. This is insane.

If this is the new policy, I’ll probably cancel my subscription and switch to Claude Code — my friend (backend developer) uses it and doesn’t hit limits like this.

Here is my usage report for Jan 17 – Feb 17 (CSV attached).

That’s because the moka offers in the upstream providers dried up, they stopped offering bonuses to API resellers and instead pushed their own “agents clients” last month.

So instead of 2X API benefits through third party Cursor, you get 5X API benefits in Claude Code or Codex Code or whatever, everyone has their own version.

Some offers are actually 8X-10X of API benefits, we’re going into the Cable TV era of agentic tools, just like streaming services matured and raised prices.
