O3-mini is LIVE! What version are we getting?

I didn’t know that being a student made somehow things free. But to answer your question, there is no Student plan on Cursor.

 Some software companies like Jetbrains offer things like this, but in a case like Cursor where in addition to the software there is use of tokens and expenses, it would be impossible because they would be losing money.

The model seems amazing, but the integration into cursor seems to be poor. It constantly thinks it has applied things which it hasn’t, and I have to keep asking it to reapply until it finally goes through.

If you can improve the integration, you’ll have a serious winner on your hands here

Currently the O3-mini model doesnt always make changes , it says : Let me apply these changes now. But it never modify’s the file. I think its a bug that should be fixed.

A M A Z I N G!

Working with o3-mini-high is a BLISS and it does TDD straight from the box!

Except that you have to convince it sometimes to do the actual update.

It seems that some file formats conflicts the output so it don’t output Cursor instructions correctly. 99.999% fixable with some additional prompting

This doesn’t seem to be the case. Are you sure? Because it’s much faster that o3-mini-high and doesn’t perform as well as it. I’ve gone back to using openrouter’s o3-mini-high.

Just to confirm - o3-mini in Cursor’s settings is actually o3-mini-high (with high reasoning). We’re using the same model as OpenRouter, there should be no difference in performance. The integration issues some users are experiencing are something we’re actively working on fixing

If you’re seeing specific performance differences, could you share more details about what you’re noticing? That would help us investigate

Yeah now I don’t even see any o3 options

I’m not seeing o3 either, have you received any word from the Cursor team on this?

Should be in your model list, but you may have to enable it!
